Please join us on Saturday, June 23, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, for the Sixth Annual Blessing of the Animals Ceremony.  Meet the Nebraska Humane Society's PAW Mobile and a variety of animal rescue groups.  The ceremony will be in the backyard of Underwood Hills (851 N. 74th St.).  We welcome dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles, large animals, and pot bellied pigs - all with their owner, of course.

You and your pet (on a leash or in a carrier) are invited to come at 10:00 am to talk with representatives from these organizations.  The Blessing ceremony

 
Something that you probably take for granted is something that the Siena-Francis House always needs:  toilet paper.  It's used every day.  All day.  To help meet their need, Underwood HIlls is collecting paper products for the Francis House throughout the month of May. Paper towels are also needed.  Please bring your paper products to the church at any time.  At the end of the month, all the toilet paper and paper towels will be delivered to the Francis House.
 

2Underwood Hills Church gathers Sunday mornings to joyfully worship God, our Creator. We praise God with a variety of music, a time for children and the message delivered in a variety of ways.

Our worship services engage the senses of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. Some Sundays, the scripture passage is read in the form of readers' theater. Other Sundays, we might burn written prayers as an offering to God. (Yes, fire in the sanctuary!)

 

From September through May, Underwood Hills offers FirsThursdays, a monthly 30-minute worship service to renew your spirit and strengthen your relationship with God. We know a lot happens on weekends, and that attending church on Sunday morning is not always possible. We invite you to attend on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm for this special worship service.

On May 12, 16 members and friends of Underwood Hills Church made a difference for God's people in need of housing.  These "ELFs" worked at the Habitat for Humanity ELF Coalition site, 4431 Emmet St.  The Ecumenical Labor Force (ELF) is rehabbing this house so that a family can have a home of their own.
